Residential

Set up NyxonProxies Residential proxies. Gateway and ports, country, state, city and ASN targeting, rotating and sticky sessions, billing and examples.

Residential proxies route your requests through real home internet connections. To the website, each request looks like it comes from an ordinary visitor on a consumer provider, which makes Residential the most versatile product for sites with strong bot protection.

Connection details

The ports are strict on this host: 8080 only speaks HTTP and 1080 only SOCKS5.

Targeting

Residential supports the deepest targeting of all products:

LevelParameterExample
Country-country-{cc}USERNAME-country-gb
US state-state-{name}USERNAME-country-us-state-texas
City-city-{name}, inside a stateUSERNAME-country-us-state-texas-city-houston
Network-asn-{number}USERNAME-country-us-asn-7922

The full list of US states and cities, and how ASN targeting works, is in Location targeting. The proxy generator shows the current list of countries, states and cities for Residential, and takes an ASN once you pick a country.

Sessions

Leave the session out and every new connection gets a new IP. Add one to keep the same IP:

text
USERNAME-country-us-session-a1b2c3d4-time-30

time is the number of minutes, up to 120. The exit is a real household connection, so it can drop before the time is up, and the session then continues on a new IP. Details in Rotating and sticky sessions.

Examples

curl -x http://USERNAME:[email protected]:8080 https://ipinfo.io/json

Billing

Residential is billed per gigabyte, from 1 GB. Pages with large images or videos use more traffic than plain HTML or JSON. Prices per volume are on the pricing page. The plan page in My plans shows how much you have used and how long the rest lasts at your current pace, see Manage your plans.

Good fits

  • Scraping sites that block or challenge datacenter IPs.
  • Search results, maps and local listings, where the city matters.
  • Prices and stock checks across countries.
  • Ad verification and checking what visitors in a region see.
  • Logins and multi-step flows on a sticky session.

Save traffic

  • Block images, fonts and media in headless browsers when you only need the HTML.
  • Request APIs or JSON endpoints instead of full pages where the site offers them.
  • Cache pages you fetch more than once.
  • Retry with a new IP instead of reloading a heavy page several times on a bad one.
