ZeroOmega

ZeroOmega is a proxy switcher for Chrome, Edge and Firefox, forked from SwitchyOmega and updated for Manifest V3. Each proxy lives in a profile, and the toolbar button switches between profiles.

The examples use the Residential gateway, geo.gw.nyxon.sh with port 8080. Other products have their own host and port, listed in Endpoints and ports.

Create a profile#

1. Install ZeroOmega from the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons or Firefox Add-ons.
2. Click the ZeroOmega toolbar button and choose Options.
3. Click New profile, enter a Profile name such as nyxon-us, select Proxy Profile and click Create.
4. Under Proxy servers, in the (default) row, set Protocol to HTTP, Server to geo.gw.nyxon.sh and Port to 8080.
5. Click the button in the Authentication column. In Proxy Authentication, enter your proxy Username and Password, then click Save changes.
6. Click Apply changes.

Switch to the proxy#

Click the ZeroOmega toolbar button and choose nyxon-us. Choose [Direct] to go back to a direct connection, or [System Proxy] to follow the computer's settings.

One profile per country#

Create a profile for each country or session, each with its own username:

Bypass list and rules#

The profile's Bypass List holds the hosts that skip the proxy, one per line. To send only some sites through NyxonProxies, create a Switch Profile: it picks a profile for each request by rules, and everything else can go [Direct].

SOCKS5#

Chrome and Edge cannot send a username and password to a SOCKS5 proxy, and ZeroOmega warns that the browser does not support SOCKS5 proxy authentication. Use HTTP there. It still carries HTTPS sites through an encrypted tunnel.

Check the IP#

Select the profile and open https://ipinfo.io/json. It should show a NyxonProxies IP in the country you targeted. If you see your own IP, check that the profile is selected and that the site is not in the bypass list.
