NyxonProxies vs Decodo (formerly Smartproxy): prices, trials and restrictions (2026)

Decodo, the provider formerly called Smartproxy, sells mostly monthly plans, with a trial that renews into a subscription and a default list of restricted websites. NyxonProxies sells by the gigabyte with no plans. Residential, mobile, datacenter and ISP prices compared.

Decodo is the provider that used to be called Smartproxy; the old smartproxy.com address now redirects to decodo.com. It sells residential, mobile, ISP and datacenter proxies plus scraping APIs, mostly on monthly subscriptions, with a pay-as-you-go option for residential and mobile traffic. NyxonProxies sells the same four proxy types by the gigabyte from a prepaid balance, with no subscriptions at all. Here is how they compare product by product, then on trials, refunds, payment and restrictions.

Decodo figures come from its pricing pages and help center, checked on 23 October 2026. Its mobile plans currently show a 50% discount, so the discounted prices are the ones quoted. NyxonProxies prices are from its live catalog on the same day.

Residential proxies

Decodo's residential subscriptions are billed monthly by plan size:

  • 3 GB: $3.75/GB, $11.25 a month
  • 25 GB: $3.25/GB, $81.25 a month, the plan Decodo marks as popular
  • 100 GB: $2.75/GB, $275 a month
  • 1,000 GB: $2/GB, $2,000 a month, on its enterprise tier
  • Pay as you go: $4/GB, no subscription

NyxonProxies charges a flat $1.10/GB for its premium residential pool, with country, state and city targeting, and $0.35/GB for Residential Budget, which targets by country.

The same monthly traffic on each:

  • 3 GB: $11.25 on Decodo; $3.30 premium or $1.05 Budget on NyxonProxies
  • 100 GB: $275 on Decodo; $110 or $35 on NyxonProxies
  • 1,000 GB: $2,000 on Decodo; $1,100 or $350 on NyxonProxies

Decodo offers more targeting for the price: continent, country, state, city, ZIP code and ASN, from a pool it puts at 115M+ IPs in 195+ locations. Its sticky sessions default to 10 minutes and can be set as long as 24 hours. NyxonProxies residential sessions last up to 120 minutes, from a pool of more than 120 million IPs in 160+ countries, with ASN targeting but no ZIP. If you need ZIP targeting on residential traffic, or sessions longer than two hours, Decodo has them.

Mobile proxies

With the current 50% discount, Decodo mobile costs $3.75/GB on its 2 GB plan ($7.50 a month), $3/GB on 50 GB, $2.75/GB on 100 GB and $2.25/GB on 500 GB, or $4/GB pay as you go. Decodo says its mobile pool has 10M+ IPs from 700+ carriers in 160+ locations.

NyxonProxies mobile costs $1.25/GB in 110+ countries, with sticky sessions up to 120 minutes, but no exits in the United States. That is less than Decodo's discounted 500 GB rate, with no plan. Check that your country is on the NyxonProxies locations page before you choose on price.

Datacenter proxies

Decodo meters shared datacenter traffic from $0.60/GB on a 10 GB plan ($6 a month), falling step by step to $0.38/GB on 10,000 GB. NyxonProxies charges $0.36/GB at any volume, or bills datacenter bandwidth by speed in Mbps per day, and its IPv6 datacenter pool costs $0.10/GB. For metered datacenter traffic, NyxonProxies is the lower price at every Decodo tier.

ISP proxies

Decodo's dedicated ISP plans start at $3.33 per IP for 3 IPs ($9.99 a month) and fall to $2.70 per IP at 50 IPs and $2 per IP at 2,000 IPs. NyxonProxies dedicated ISP IPs cost $3 each for 30 days, from 1 IP up to 1,000, and its shared ISP pool is metered at $0.50/GB.

For a few IPs NyxonProxies is slightly cheaper and has no 3-IP minimum. From 10 IPs, where Decodo's rate is $2.90, Decodo is cheaper per IP, and the gap grows with volume.

Trials and refunds

Decodo offers a 3-day residential trial with 100 MB. When the trial ends, the plan you picked activates automatically unless you cancel first. It also offers a 14-day money-back option, with conditions: only your first purchase qualifies, you must not have used the free trial, you must ask within 14 days, and you must have used no more than 20% of the plan's traffic (10% on enterprise plans).

NyxonProxies has no trial that turns into a subscription, because there is no subscription. Link a Discord account and you get 250MB of Residential Budget free. Its terms say that if the network fails to perform on your target, unused bandwidth is credited back to your balance on request, and refunds of unused balance to a wallet are at its discretion.

Payment

Decodo accepts credit cards, PayPal, Alipay, Google Pay and Apple Pay. It also takes cryptocurrency for every product except ISP proxies and pay-per-IP datacenter proxies. Orders are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record.

NyxonProxies takes crypto only, with coins such as BTC, ETH, SOL and USDT, from a $1 minimum top-up, and the balance never expires.

Restricted targets and ID verification

Decodo applies a default list of restricted websites to every proxy type: banking and other financial activity, including crypto financing, government sites, entertainment such as Netflix, the Apple and Google app stores, ticketing, gaming, mailing, streaming, business and telecommunications. Some of those categories can be unblocked after ID verification, and only on rotating residential subscriptions. Mobile proxies carry further restrictions on top.

NyxonProxies has no ID verification. Its acceptable-use policy forbids anything unlawful, fraud, credential stuffing, spam and attacks, and abuse reports are investigated. Whichever provider you use, test your actual targets before you buy volume.

What Decodo does better

  • Targeting and sessions. ZIP targeting on residential, and sticky sessions up to 24 hours.
  • Coverage. 195+ locations for residential and 160+ for mobile.
  • Static IPs in bulk. Dedicated ISP from $2 per IP at volume.
  • Payment and refunds. Cards and PayPal as well as crypto, and a money-back window.
  • Scraping tools. A web data API and a site unblocker alongside the proxies.

Which one to choose

Choose Decodo if you need ZIP targeting, residential sessions longer than two hours, many dedicated ISP IPs, or the option to pay by card.

Choose NyxonProxies if you want rotating residential, mobile or datacenter traffic at the lowest per-gigabyte price of the two, without a subscription that renews, and without ID checks. For residential traffic, the NyxonProxies premium rate is below Decodo's best enterprise rate, and Residential Budget costs less than a fifth of it.
